Celebrating Our 2022 THL Honorees w/ Curbside Plaques and Balloons

We were able to celebrate our 2022 #HERoineLegacy Honorees despite not meeting for the annual in-person brunch due to an uptick in COVID numbers. THL’s Event Coordinator Keshia Giboney and Event Producer TJ Jefferson gathered the plaques, balloons and personalized goodie bags to deliver to each honoree individually all around Memphis. We met some out eating, in parking lots and at their homes. Unfortunately, we missed honorees Elle Perry but we left her goodies on her porch (see pic below). Alexandria Boddie was out of town and we arranged another time but I missed Alexandria again when I came to her daycare to drop off her gifts the following week; we weren’t able to get a pic but we understand running a business will have you busy.
I decided to recognize Giboney because she has been assisting with the brunch event since the very first one March 2017. Although there wasn’t the in-person brunch, she was responsible for the custom bags with each honorees’ name on it and ordering everyone’s balloons. Also, this was her second year taking the time to drive around the city to deliver to our honorees and take pictures. Big THANK YOU again to Giboney of Leave It 2 Us Events! The 2022 #HERoineLegacy Honors Magazine will be published Sunday, March 13th. Due to COVID, we’ve decided against having the in-person brunch again this year. We’ve made other arrangements to acknowledge our honorees. Stay Tuned!
