2017 #HERoineLegacy Magazine Honors Brunch and Magazine Reveal
March 18, 2017
Covenant Memphis
The former
Fresh Touch Publicity company added the brunch event to the reveal of the #HERoineLegacy Magazine with the goal of publicly honoring women during Women’s History Month (March). The honorees were chosen based off their personal stories and their intentions in overcoming whatever obstacle that came directly or indirectly in their way, their decision-making and perspectives on how they want to maneuver through their life. This year, the team decided to keep the honorees within the Memphis and Mid-south area because representation matters. They wanted the people to see these everyday women as approachable. The host of the event was Jamal Whitlow, Creative Director of Privileged Memphis, the lone man on the program. The guest speaker was
Joyce Kyles, Executive Director of Walking Into A New Life. The magazine was dedicated to one of our favorite foremothers,
Mary Mcleod Bethune.
