TELL Safely Pivoted From In-person Event to Celebrate 2021 THL Honorees

A year after COVID shut down the world that resulted in a stay-home pandemic, we decided against hosting the annual in-person brunch to honor our 2021 #HERoineLegacy Honorees. However, the CDC ok’d communing in open spaces that air can circulate. We are so glad that we decided to meet up with our honorees in person versus hosting a virtual event. It was refreshing to get the opportunity to see them in person and give hugs. Side note: we all were masked but gave each other permission to remove masks for pictures. Keshia Giboney, owner of Leave It 2 Us Events, helped me deliver personalized gift bags with their names on it, plaques, personalized bookmarks, balloons, and other goodies to the honorees. We appreciate them being open to the entire process of being honored and trusting us to TELL their stories. Be sure to read their stories above.

We’ve had to endure a year of the COVID-19 lockdown. Some of you have received the full vaccine (or parts of it) while others may still be waiting for their turn or still in limbo deciding if you’re going to take it or not. With all of those major factors at play, we decided against having the in-person brunch to publicly honor our so-deserving 2021 #HERoineLegacy Honorees. However, we will still honor them by sharing their stories in the 6th Annual #HERoineLegacy Magazine which will go LIVE here on Sunday, March 14, 2021. Stay Tuned!
